Happy Monday, everyone!  How was your Thanksgiving?  Our family actually didn't eat any Thanksgiving food, and instead, we had giant crab legs and steak!  Even better!!  I also got a good amount of Christmas shopping done which totally makes me feel productive!

 

Speaking of shopping, I was looking for this sweater since July, but could not find my size anywhere until I stumbled onto piperlime and ta-da~ there it was!!  I usually never buy anything that's not on sale, but I couldn't hesitate with this sweater because I've been wanting it for so long.  And speaking of wanting things for a long time, John surprised me one night last week with this louis vuitton (my very first!), and my dilemma on whether or not I should get a designer bag ended. :)

Happy almost Thanksgiving, everyone!  I I read somewhere that this country is probably the only country that has a day to be thankful for everything we already have and then a day right after that to shop for more things that we don't have.  Kind of ironic, but hey~ that's what we do.  Have a happy and thankful Thanksgiving and an even more thankful black Friday!!  :)

Happy Monday, everyone! Let me ask you a question. Is there a color that primarily takes over your closet? Mine has to be gray. I also have an abundance of navy blue, but gray is what I see most. Because of this blog and looking through other fabulous fashion blogs, I'm experimenting with different brighter colors, but sometimes, going back to what is most comfortable feels good. But don't worry, I wore my bright pink striped socks for all you color lovers out there! ;)

nursery - we have a dresser! 

weight gain - 21 pounds!!

cravings - sugar...all sorts of sweet things... I'm afraid the gestational diabetes test will come up positive

inconveniences - legs are swelling, lower back pain, can't eat spicy food (which sucks because I love spicy)



Designer handbags... yay or nay?

I've never been into bags and own zero designer handbags.  Well, does Coach count as 'designer'?  I do own a couple Coach and Kate spade wallets/bags, but nothing above the price of $500.  I used to and still think it's pretty ridiculous to pay thousands of dollars especially when it can be compared to the average mortgage payments of a house.  But a few weeks ago, while walking around the mall, I saw a girl with the most common louis vuitton tote on her shoulder, and I can't stop thinking about that darn bag!  I've seen the bag before many times, but she just looked so great with it.  Would it be so horrible to purchase a designer handbag for no reason?  John has actually been telling me to get one for years now, but I just couldn't get myself to justify the purchase.  What is your opinion on designer handbags?  and I'm talking over $1000...

A Bargain

Happy Monday, everyone!  Nordstrom is/was having their half yearly sale, and I got this blouse on a total bargain.  It was basically half off, and I ended up getting very two similar blouses for the price of one.  It isn't maternity, but my baby bump fit perfectly in it, and it covers my bottom which makes it perfect to wear with tights!  I also saw some really cute boots on sale, and I totally regret not getting them now that I'm dreaming about them day and night... :(

weight gain - fluctuating around 18 ~ 20 lbs

cravings - nothing really...

inconveniences - i have really bad heart burn... never ever had one before and it is NOT pleasant...



winter wish list #2

Please tell me some of you have already made a Christmas wish list and that it's not just me.  It sure doesn't feel like winter, but cold weather clothing has to be my favorite.  I love the cozy sweaters, tough boots, thick but slimming coats, and all the accessories that come along with the season.

I was definitely not dressed for the weather yesterday.  The news said that there would be a 'cold front' over the weekend, but that just meant that it wasn't going to be in the 90s anymore and that it was going to be in the upper 70s... Well, I took those words 'cold front' to heart and layered on my chambray below the cashmere sweater.  Result: I was hot hot hot... Where is fall, Texas?  C'mon already... it's November for goodness sakes!

weight of baby - about a large mango

weight gain - about 20...omg...!!!!!!!!  and a large mango does not weigh 20 pounds...!

inconveniences - my legs are starting to swell a little and my back and head ache often

Mini apple pies

Happy November, everyone!!  I don't know about you, but November and December are my favorite months of the year.  My birthday isn't even in them, but the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons make me feel more 'merry' than the other months.  To start this month off, here is a recipe that screams fall.  I think I used a little less sugar on mine than the original, but they turned out really well... kind of like apples in blankets!  :)
